Our new Hangout

We are celebrating the one week anniversary of moving into our new apartment. We love it here! It's in a great location, close to lots of parks, beaches and shopping and a 10 to 15 minute drive along the beach to the hospital Cameron hangs out at. Our apartment is beautiful. We have thee bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a laundry room a hallway and a walk in closet yippee! We live on the third floor, a built in exercise program… right? Thankfully we had lots of people come and help us haul our things up 3 flights of stairs. Thank you!

The kids love it here. They run everywhere chasing each other around the house, copying each other as they "fall" in the kitchen and riding Katelyn's bike together up and down the hallway. They love having all this space. I'm sure our down stairs neighbors love it too...

Our apartment is brand new, which surprisingly has a few disadvantages... our fridge which is also brand new isn't working properly so all the food went bad 3 days after restocking it. Not to worry though, our freezer mostly works so we have a ready supply of frozen chicken, vegetables and slightly melted ice cream.

we are also having some issues with our washing machine apparently there is a hole where you are suppose to put a drain pipe thing down so all the water used during the wash doesn't end up on the floor. well the hole has a plastic cover on it that needs to be removed, they keep telling us it just needs to be popped off but for some reason no one has been able to figure out how that is done exactly. so last night as we were getting the kids ready for bed Cameron came up with this great idea of letting the water drain into this tall kitchen trash can we aren't using anymore and then dumping into the bath tub when it fills up. so he placed the hose into the trash can and started the wash. as we were reading books I heard the spin cycle start and told Cameron... poor guy was basically asleep as he was trying to read a book to Dallin. He got up to check how things where going and found the hose whipping around the laundry room spraying water everywhere. apparently there is too much water pressure to just lay the hose in the trash can. so after securing the hose and using all of our dirty clothes and clean towels to soak up the mess his system worked out quite nicely. Hopefully we wont have to do this every time we do laundry though.

We love our apartment and can't believe how blessed we are to finally be here.

Yay for being in your new place....dang, about all the "glitches"....There is nothing more frustrating to me than things that aren't working right!=) Maybe I am just a brat though....:)
Anyway, congrats on the new place. How much longer till the baby? And do you know if it's a boy or girl? I also need to get your address sometime so I can send you a Christmas card!
